Asha Electricals

Asha Electricals is tucked away in the Shahu Nagar area, specifically inside the Ganraj Mauli Housing Society. We have been operating from this small shop for quite a few years now. It’s not a massive store with bright lights and displays. Most of the time, the floor is covered with wire clippings and old motor parts that we are trying to fix. We handle all sorts of basic electrical stuff for the people living in the society and the nearby streets. If a ceiling fan stops working or a socket burns out, people usually just come and find us. We don't have a professional secretary or a fancy phone system. You just walk up to the counter and tell us what is wrong. It gets pretty crowded in here because we keep so much stock on the shelves. Sometimes it takes a minute to find the right fuse or switch because things aren't always in the right place. We are just local workers who know how to handle tools. We spend a lot of our day carrying ladders and toolboxes up and down the stairs of the buildings around here. It is hard work and our clothes usually get pretty dirty by the end of the day. Shahu Nagar is a busy place, but we like being part of the community. We don't do any big promotions. We just open the shutter in the morning and stay until the work is done. It’s a simple life.
