The shop is at 76-54-9, right at Choutra Center on RK Street along the Chilakaluripet Road. It’s a busy corner here with a lot of traffic passing by all the time. We handle different kinds of trading goods, so there’s always something being loaded or unloaded from the back of a truck. My day usually starts with checking what arrived overnight and making sure the inventory is where it should be. The office is small and tucked away in the corner where the ledger sits on a wooden desk. It’s not a quiet place because of the main road, but we like being where the action is. People drop in throughout the day, some looking for specific items and others just asking about prices. We’ve known most of our regulars for years, so the talk is usually about the weather or how the local market is doing. Sometimes the tea man comes by and we take a quick break on the bench outside. The walls have a few old calendars and some shelves that have seen better days. It's a straightforward operation. We don’t go for anything fancy, just moving goods and making sure the paperwork gets done eventually. If the rain comes down hard, we have to move everything inside quickly. It keeps us on our toes.
