Shree Pushpagiri Paints

If you are driving down Belur Road through the Chikmagalur district, you’ll find us in Gonibeedu Village. Shree Pushpagiri Paints is located right near the Karnataka Bank, which is a good landmark since our village is pretty small. This part of Mudigere Taluk is beautiful, but inside the shop, we are mostly focused on colors and cans. I spend a lot of time helping farmers and local families pick out a shade for their homes or outbuildings. It’s not a high-tech operation; I have a counter, a few ledgers, and a lot of heavy tins stacked against the walls. The smell of fresh paint is just part of the air here. Sometimes I have to move a lot of stock around just to find one specific brush someone asked for. We get a lot of people stopping in after they finish their business at the bank next door. It’s a quiet life for the most part, except for when the delivery trucks arrive and we have to unload everything by hand. I’ve lived in this area most of my life, so I know who is building a new shed or whose house needs a fresh coat after the monsoon season. We just provide what the local folks need and try to keep the shop running smoothly day by day.
