Shraddha Hospital

Our place, Shraddha Hospital, is located down in Zari Gallli in Chikodi. It’s a narrow enough street, so people usually just walk or bring their scooters right to the front door. We’ve been operating out of this spot for some time, and most of the locals know where to find us if they aren't feeling well. The building isn't huge, but we have enough space for the beds and a small area where people can sit while they wait for their turn. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded in the hallway, especially when the weather is bad and everyone wants to stay inside where it's dry. We have a few fans going to keep the air moving, and the nurses are usually busy checking charts or talking to families. It’s a simple setup. We don’t have those big shiny signs or expensive furniture you see in the city hospitals. The walls are painted a light color and we try to keep the dust down, which is hard with the street right there. People from the surrounding villages come in quite often. We know a lot of them by name now. It’s just how things work here. There is no formal reception desk with a computer; we mostly use paper and pens to keep track of who is coming and going. It’s practical and it works for us and the patients who come through our doors every day.
