Malnad Food Works

The shop is right at Shivaji Circle in Hosamane. If you know Bhadravathi, you know it’s a spot where everyone passes through. Malnad Food Works is a small place. We handle mostly food stuff, things that people need for their kitchens every day. It’s not a supermarket or anything huge. We just keep the basics and maybe a few extras that are hard to find elsewhere. The morning is usually our busiest time. People coming from the circle stop in before they head to work. It’s noisy outside with the traffic, but inside we just keep things moving along. I started this because I wanted something of my own near home. My nephew helps out on the weekends when he isn’t at school. We don’t have a website or fancy flyers. Most folks just know we are here because they walk past every day. Sometimes the shelves get a bit empty if the truck is late, but we manage. Bhadravathi is a good place to be, and being right at the circle means we see a lot of faces. We try to keep things simple and honest. No big promises, just what’s on the shelf. If we don’t have it, we’ll tell you. It’s better that way. Come by if you’re near the circle; we’re usually around till late evening most days.
