Akanda Builders Private Limited

Our place is out at Sy-97/3, near the Gundlagurki Cross in Dibbur. It is on the Chikkaballapura Main Road, specifically near the Mancanabale Post. It is quite a drive from the main city of Bangalore, but being out here means we are closer to the actual building sites. The air is a bit clearer, though it gets very dusty when the wind picks up across the open fields. We spend a lot of our time on-site, but this office is where we handle the bills and the planning. It’s a simple building, nothing too modern. We have some plastic chairs for guests and a big wooden table where we spread out our drawings. Working in Chikkaballapura has its own pace, a bit slower than the city, but we are always busy with something. We often have to travel between the post office and the sites, so we are on our bikes or in the car a lot. The sun can be quite harsh in the afternoons, so we usually keep the shutters halfway down to stay cool. It’s a hardworking environment without any fluff. We are just a group of builders making sure the walls go up straight and the materials arrive on time. It is honest work and we like being part of the growth happening in this area. We have a small dog that hangs around the gate sometimes, and we give him some of our lunch. It is a very grounded way to work, being so close to the land.
