Thalanar Coffee

If you know Kovai Road, then you know it can get pretty busy with all the trucks and people heading to work. Thalanar Coffee is situated at 3/47, right across from Sakthi Mill. It’s a good spot to see the world go by. We spend a lot of our time looking out at the mill entrance, watching the shifts change. The building isn't brand new, but it has been here long enough that everyone knows where we are. We try to keep the place looking decent, even though the road outside gets quite muddy when it rains. It’s mostly just us here, handling the daily stuff and making sure the coffee is ready. We don't have any fancy signs or big posters. We just have the name on the front and we get on with it. Some days are slower than others, especially in the afternoons when the heat is heavy, but we stay open. You get used to the noise from the mill and the bikes zooming past. It’s a practical kind of place. We don’t have much time for sitting around because there is always something to wipe down or a delivery to check. People stop in because they are passing by on Kovai Road and need a break. It feels like a real part of the local area, nothing like those polished shops you see in the bigger cities. We just keep it simple and keep going.
