Prasadhana Pettika

Our place is at 26 Siva Subramaniam Chettiar Street. It’s right near where it meets Kumaran Road. The name Prasadhana Pettika is what you’ll see on the front. It is a bit of a walk from the main bus stop, but it’s a nice enough area. The street can get a little crowded during the market hours, but we are used to the noise. Inside number 26, it stays a bit cooler than it is out on the pavement. We keep everything stacked on wooden shelves and the floor is usually swept every morning before we open up. Being on Siva Subramaniam Chettiar Street means we see a lot of the same faces every day. It’s that kind of neighborhood where everyone says hello. We don't have a big corporate team or anything like that. It’s just us handling the daily tasks and keeping things in order. Kumaran Road is just around the corner, so there is always a bit of a breeze coming from that direction. We spend our time organizing the items and making sure everything is where it should be. The building is an older style, which gives it a bit of character. We don't try to make it look like a modern shop. It’s just a honest place to work. We’ve got a small desk near the door where we do the accounts. It’s a simple setup for Prasadhana Pettika and that's how we like to keep it.
