Kali Aerated Water Works Pvt Ltd is located at 32, Edayarpalayam Pirivu, in the Thirunavukarsu Nagar area of Kuniamuthur. Even though the name sounds a bit formal with the "Pvt Ltd" part, it’s really just a bunch of us working hard every day. The building is a sturdy one, which is good because the machines make a lot of vibration. We deal with lots of glass and water, so the floor stays damp. We’ve been at this spot in Kuniamuthur for a long time. People around here know us by the sound of the trucks coming and going. We don’t do much advertising. We just put the bottles in the crates and make sure they are ready for the morning route. Sometimes the glass breaks and we have to stop and clean everything up, which is a pain, but it happens. We use simple tools and the same methods we’ve used for years. It’s hot work, especially in the summer months, but we have a good rhythm going. The office is just a small corner with a table and a few chairs where we keep the records. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to get through the day’s production and make sure the neighborhood has what it needs. It’s honest work and keeps us busy from dawn till dusk. We usually have the radio playing some old songs to keep the mood light while we work the levers.
