Daily Mart

We’ve been running Daily Mart here at Shop No 1 in Kavery Nagar for a good while now. It’s a simple spot in Kunniyamuthur, right across from the Wahab Petrol Bunk, which makes it easy for people to find us when they’re out getting fuel. The shop isn't very large, just enough room for the essentials that most families need every day. I usually get here early to sweep the front because the road gets quite dusty with all the traffic. We carry things like milk, bread, some local snacks, and the usual pantry items. Sometimes the stock arrives late and the place looks a bit messy with crates, but that’s just how it goes. My son helps me out in the evenings when the crowd from the neighborhood starts coming in after work. It gets a bit cramped inside when more than three people are browsing the shelves. The fridge hums quite loudly, but it keeps the drinks cold enough for the Coimbatore heat. Most of our customers are just neighbors who’ve lived here as long as I have. We don't do anything special or fancy, just keep the shelves filled as much as we can. If you need a quick packet of tea or some soap, we are usually around. It’s a quiet life running a shop like this, just taking things one day at a time and talking to whoever walks through the door.
