Cihsr Hospital

Cihsr Hospital is out at 4th Mile. It is a bit of a drive from the main town center, but that makes it a little quieter, which is nice for a change. You don't get the same heavy traffic noise here like you do in the middle of the city. The grounds are pretty big, and there is some green space around the buildings that looks nice when it rains. We spend a lot of time moving between the different wards. It is a lot of physical work, honestly, and by the end of the shift, my feet usually ache. The air out here feels a bit fresher than it does in the city. We have a lot of people coming in from quite far away. They often bring their whole families with them, so the waiting areas get pretty full by mid-morning. We have a routine that we stick to every day. Morning rounds, checking the medical supplies, making sure the beds are ready. It is not the most exciting work, but it is what we do. The building itself has been around for a while and you can see the wear and tear in some places if you look closely. We just fix things as they break and keep going. The staff usually eats together in the back when there is time. We talk about our families or what is happening in the news lately. It is a simple life at the hospital. We don't try to be anything we are not. Being at 4th Mile defines us.
