2a Export & Import

We are situated at No. 4 on the 1st floor of the O. S. Deen Building, which is at No. 175 West Car Street. It’s a busy street with a lot of history and old buildings all around. Our office at 2a Export & Import is pretty simple. We have the usual stuff like computers and filing cabinets, and maybe a few too many stacks of paper on the desks. Being on the first floor is nice because we don't have to climb too many stairs, and it's easy to pop out for a quick break or to meet the delivery guys. We deal with exports and imports every day. It’s mostly about coordinating with different people and making sure the logistics aren't a mess. The O. S. Deen Building has a lot of character, though it can be a bit drafty when the weather turns cold. We have a small group working here, and we have all become pretty good friends over the years. We don't really have any corporate polish or a marketing team. We just talk like normal people and try to solve problems as they pop up during the day. Some days are slow and we just sit around and talk, and other days it feels like the phone never stops ringing with questions about shipments. We just take it as it comes and try to keep things moving without making a big production out of it. It’s just how we operate.
