Rangers Camp

If you head out toward Ballavara in the Tarikere Taluk, you will find us at Chaman Mandi. This place we call Rangers Camp isn't some luxury resort or anything like that. It is more of a practical spot for people who are out this way. The air is a bit cleaner out here than in the city, which is nice. We spend a lot of time making sure the grounds are kept in some kind of order, though the grass always seems to grow faster than we can cut it. We have people coming through who are interested in the local landscape or just need a place to stop for a bit. It is a bit of a drive to get here, but once you arrive, it is fairly peaceful. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who look after the place. We deal with whatever comes up, whether it is a leaky pipe or just clearing away brush. The weather around Tarikere can be a bit unpredictable, so we are always checking the clouds. We keep things simple here. There are no big signs or flashing lights to lead the way. You just follow the road to Chaman Mandi and you will see us. It is a lot of physical work, but being outside beats sitting in an office all day. We meet all sorts of travelers passing through this part of the country and it keeps things interesting.
