We are located up in the hills at Kudremukh in the Chikamangalore district. Our specific spot is Quarter Number 489, B-Single, in Section III. It’s a beautiful part of Karnataka, very green and often quite misty. Living and working in the township here is a lot different from the busy life in the plains. The air is fresh, but it can get very rainy during the monsoon months. Our office is just a regular quarter that we’ve set up for our daily work. It’s not a big corporate building. Most of us here have been in Kudremukh for a long time, so we all know each other. We spend our days going through the routine of maintenance and checking on things around the site. We don't have any big marketing plans or anything like that. We just focus on the tasks at hand. Sometimes the roads are a bit tricky because of the winding turns in the hills, but we don't mind. We have a small canteen nearby where we usually get our lunch and talk about the day. It’s a very steady and quiet way of working. We don't need any big titles or fancy offices. Just having a solid place to work and good people around is enough for us. It’s a simple life in the Western Ghats.
