Kalgreen Valley Resort

Our place, Kalgreen Valley Resort, sits on the Klasapura Estate in Koppa. We use P.B.No.18 for our mail, but physically we are right in the middle of the estate greenery. It’s a large property, so there is a lot of coffee or tea growing around depending on the time of year. Living and working here in Koppa is pretty slow-paced, which is honestly how we like it most of the time. The resort itself is basically a few buildings we put up to host people who are traveling through this part of the country. It’s not a polished corporate place at all. We have some leaks sometimes when it rains heavy in the monsoon, and we fix them as we go. The view of the valley is really why most people find us in the first place. We don't have a big staff, just a few local folks who help us out with the cleaning and the food prep. The air is damp a lot of the time because of the dense trees, but it stays cool even in summer. We spend our mornings checking on the plantation and our evenings making sure the guests have what they need for the night. It’s a lot of work to keep an estate running, especially with the wild weather out here. We don’t have a fancy lobby or any of those high-tech features. Most people just sit outside on the porch with a tea and look at the hills. It’s just a quiet spot in the woods.
