Shree Narayan High School

Shree Narayan High School is situated in Halol, right in the Panchmahal area. It is a busy industrial town, so there is always a lot of dust and noise from the nearby companies. Our school is a bit of a refuge from that. We have a decent sized building and a front yard where we do the morning assembly. You can hear the children's voices echoing off the walls when they sing. Most of our students come from the families who work in the local factories. They are hardworking people. The classrooms have wooden desks that have been scratched up by years of students sitting in them. We don't mind much; it's just what happens. The teachers here are practical people. They don't use big words or try to act like they are in a fancy city school. We follow the state board and make sure everyone gets their homework done. During the summer, the heat in Halol can be quite something, so we try to get the heavy lessons done early in the day. We have a small area for sports, mostly just enough for a game of kabaddi or some running around. It is an unpretentious place. We don't have a lot of rules other than showing up on time and being respectful. It is just how we have always run things here in Halol for the local kids.
