System Engineers

We operate out of a combined space at Plot No. 625-618 in the Gidc area. Being near the Excise Office is a bit of a mixed blessing because of the traffic, but at least nobody ever gets lost finding us. Our setup here covers a couple of plots, so we have a bit more room to move than some of our neighbors. We use the extra space to store parts and keep a few larger machines that wouldn’t fit in a single shed. The floor is mostly concrete with some patches where we’ve had to do repairs over the years. We spend our days tinkering with systems and making sure things run like they are supposed to. It’s practical work. We have a small corner with a fridge and a kettle where we take our breaks. Sometimes we stand out by the gate just to get some fresh air and watch the trucks go by. The work can be repetitive, but every now and then we get a weird problem that keeps us busy for a week. We don’t spend money on fancy decorations or branding. Our sign is just painted on the metal door and it’s starting to fade a bit. We are just here to do the work and go home to our families. It’s a straightforward life in the Gidc and we are fine with that. It is what it is.
