Rangeela Art

Our shop is right opposite Lal Bagh, specifically on that busy stretch near the boring on Lal Bagh Road. Rangeela Art has been our main focus for a long time. It’s not one of those slick, modern offices you see in magazines. It’s a real place with paint smells and dusty corners. We spend most of our mornings getting everything ready for the day ahead. Sometimes the traffic outside is so loud we have to shout a bit to hear each other, but you get used to it after a week or two. We handle all sorts of requests from people walking in off the street. Some know exactly what they want, others need a bit of a talk to figure it out. We don’t have a script or a formal way of doing things. We just listen and then get to work. Dealing with colors and different materials means things can get messy, but that is part of the job. It feels good to finish something and hand it over. We don't spend money on big ads or anything like that. Word of mouth usually brings people to our door. Being near Lal Bagh makes it easy for folks to find us, which is lucky. We just show up every day, open the shutters, and see what the day brings. It’s a decent way to make a living and we know our neighbors.
