Our shop is number 37 on Parasia Road, which is very close to the main bus stand. Because of the location, we get a lot of people who are just passing through town and need something to read for their long bus rides. It is a fast-paced environment with the sound of horns and engines constantly in the background. We keep the shop open late because the buses don't stop running until well into the night. The shelves are packed tight, and we have to be careful when we are moving things around so nothing falls over. We have a small stool behind the counter where we sit when there is a break in the crowd, but usually, someone is walking in every few minutes. Parasia Road is always busy, and being near the bus stand means we see people from all walks of life. We don't really do much in the way of decorating; the books themselves are the main thing you see when you walk in. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we never seem to find the time to close down long enough to do it. It is a practical business for a practical part of town. We just focus on getting people what they need quickly so they don't miss their bus. It is a bit noisy and dusty, but it is our place and we like the constant movement.
