Patel Earth Movers & Construction Company

We’ve been running Patel Earth Movers & Construction Company out of Borgaon for a good number of years now. It is a quiet spot here in the Chand tehsil, but there is always some digging or building happening if you look around. Most days start early before the sun gets too hot. We have the usual machines you’d expect for this kind of work. It is mostly about moving dirt and leveling ground for people who are putting up new houses or fixing the local roads. The office is just a simple place where we keep the logs and take the phone calls. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when three people call at once needing a JCB, but we manage to get through it. My family has been in this area for a long time, so we know the land pretty well. We don't spend money on fancy advertisements or shiny brochures. Most of our work comes from someone telling their neighbor about us. We do the job, collect the payment, and move on to the next site. It can be greasy and loud work, but that’s just how it is with heavy equipment. We spend a lot of time just maintaining the engines and making sure the tires are good. If you drive through Borgaon, you’ll probably see our yard. It’s not much to look at, just a place for the machines to sit when they aren't out on a job site. That’s our daily life here.
