About Jain Rice Flake – Food & Beverages in Chhindwara
Jain Rice Flake is tucked away in Saipuram, right behind the Sai Mandir in Seoni. You can usually hear the bells from the temple while we are working. We deal mostly with rice flakes, which is a staple around here. The smell of the grain is always in the air at our place. It’s a dusty job, and we spend a lot of time cleaning the machines and the floor. We get our rice from the local markets in the Seoni district. My brother and I run the place with a couple of helpers from the neighborhood. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. People just know us because we’ve been behind the temple for years. Sometimes the rain makes it hard to transport the bags, and the mud in Saipuram gets pretty thick. We just do our work and hope the machines don't break down at the wrong time. It’s a simple life, mostly just processing the flakes and bagging them up for the local shops. We drink a lot of tea to keep going through the shifts. The regulars stop by and chat for a bit while they wait for their orders. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to make good rice flakes that people can enjoy for breakfast. It’s a steady business and we are happy where we are, right here in the heart of Seoni, doing what we know how to do best for our family.
