Danish Nelgiri Plantation

Danish Nelgiri Plantation is located out in Ambada Village. We are part of the Parasia Tehsil in the Chhindwara District. If you are looking for us, we are situated quite close to the Shiv Mandir, which is a major landmark for everyone around here. Our work is mostly outdoors, dealing with the trees and the land. Being near the temple means we hear the bells and the prayers while we are working in the fields. It is a peaceful place, though the work itself is quite physically demanding. We spend the better part of our days checking on the plantation and making sure the trees are growing right. The weather really dictates what we can get done each week. Sometimes when it rains heavily, the ground gets muddy and everything slows down. We have some basic storage sheds for our tools and supplies near the main path. It’s a very rural setting, far away from the noise of the big cities. Most of our staff are local people from the village who know the land well. We don't use any complicated technology; it is mostly manual labor and traditional methods that have been used for years. It is a quiet life out here in Chhindwara, but we stay busy with the seasonal tasks that the plantation requires.
