Prakash Mines, Chotia

Our main office for Prakash Mines, Chotia is located in the Kapa-Lodhipara area of Raipur, Chhattisgarh. It’s a busy part of the city, and we’ve been here for quite some time now. Dealing with mining means things are often a bit chaotic. Our office is where we try to make sense of all the logs and reports coming in from the Chotia site. It’s not a polished space. We have maps pinned to the walls and stacks of papers on every available surface. The floor is often a bit dusty because people are always coming and going from the field. We don't wear suits or ties here. Most of us are in sturdy shoes and regular shirts. Raipur gets incredibly hot, so we have old air conditioners that hum loudly all day. We handle the logistical side of the mining business, which involves a lot of phone calls to truck drivers and site managers. It’s a lot of juggling. We don't have a big brand name or do any advertising. Most people in the industry around here know who we are and what we do. We just try to keep the operations running without too many problems. It’s a straightforward business run by people who understand the ground reality of mining. We don't have time for corporate talk. We just want to get the job done and make sure the accounts are right at the end of every single month.
