Monnet Ispat & Energy Ltd. is a name many know in Raigarh, but this particular office we are in is at 11A/14/10 in Bhilai. We are in the Durg district of Chhattisgarh. This whole region is very much centered around the steel and energy industries. You can feel that industrial energy in the air every day. Our office is a practical space where we manage the local operations and coordinate with the main plant. It’s a busy place with people coming and going, mostly engineers and site workers who are often dressed in their work gear. We deal with a lot of heavy data regarding steel production and power output. The office itself is located in a residential-cum-commercial area, so it’s a bit quieter than being right inside a factory gate. We have plenty of files and reports stacked up on the desks because there is always something to monitor. Chhattisgarh gets very hot in the summer months, so our air conditioning gets a real workout most of the time. We spend a lot of time on the phone or on the computer keeping track of things in Raigarh and elsewhere. It’s a lot of logistical work that most people don't see. We’ve been part of the landscape here for a while now. The team is used to the fast pace of the industrial sector. It’s a straightforward environment where we just focus on getting the day's tasks finished without any fuss or delay.
