Jindal Steel & Power Ltd,Raigarh

In Jharsuguda, we are set up over at BB Colony in the Saha Pada area. Specifically, we are based at Kabiraj Biswal’s place. It’s a bit of a different vibe here compared to a big city office, but it suits the way we work in this part of Orissa. Even though the company name mentions Raigarh, we handle the local stuff here in Jharsuguda-11. The neighborhood is mostly residential with some small businesses mixed in, so you see the same faces every day. It’s not the kind of place where you’d expect a major steel company to have an office, but it works well for us. We deal with the day-to-day logistics and making sure the Raigarh operations have what they need from this side. The office itself is pretty basic. We’ve got our chairs and tables, and the internet works most of the time, which is all we really need to get the job done. Sometimes it gets a bit dusty when the wind picks up, but that’s just how it is around here. We aren't big on formalities. If you come by, you’ll just find a few of us working away on the computers or talking on the phone. We’ve been here long enough that we feel like part of the local furniture. It’s a quiet life compared to the big plants, but there is always plenty of work to keep us occupied throughout the week.
