Janmitram Kalyan Samiti

Our office is situated in the Railway Traction Colony, specifically at Quarter Number 118/3. Being in Raigarh, we are right in the middle of everything that happens in this part of Chhattisgarh. The colony is a busy place, and there are always trains moving nearby, which is something you just get used to after a while. We have been working from this spot for some time, and it serves as our main base for the Samiti’s activities. The room is a bit small, but we make it work with what we have. Most of the people around here know where the railway quarters are, so it’s not too hard to find us. We spend a lot of our time sitting at the desks, going through files and talking about the different projects we have going on in the district. Raigarh can be quite hot and dusty, especially with all the industry around, but the colony has a few trees that give some shade. We aren't a big organization with a fancy glass building; we are just a group of people working out of a government quarter. It’s a practical setup that allows us to stay close to the community we work with. Every morning we open up, sweep the front, and start our day. It is a simple way of living and working, and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. We usually have the radio playing softly in the background while we work on the ledgers.
