We have our place over in the Dda Flats in Madangir. It is on the third floor, units 213 to 215. Jagdamba Gramodyog (India) Pvt. Ltd. has been operating out of this neighborhood in New Delhi for quite a few years now. The stairs up to the third floor are a bit of a climb, but it keeps us moving. We work mostly with local goods and traditional items, the kind of stuff that has been around forever. The office is usually full of samples and small boxes stacked against the walls. It’s not a very big space, so we have to be careful where we step. We have a few windows that look out over the flats, and you can always hear the sounds of the street below. It’s a busy part of town, but we like the energy of it. Most of our days are spent checking inventory or talking to people about new orders. We aren’t trying to be some giant company; we just like what we do. The team is small, just a few of us who have known each other a long time. We drink a lot of tea and try to keep things organized, even when the paperwork gets a bit messy. It’s a good, honest way to make a living right here in Madangir. We’ve become a fixture in these flats over time. We just take the work as it comes and try to do right by the folks who buy from us.
