Vedanta

Our place is B-1292 in Krishna Vihar, which is part of the NTPC Township in Korba. Vedanta is the name we use for our business here. It’s a standard township house, so it doesn't look like a corporate building at all. We have a small sign, but mostly people just know where we are. The streets in Krishna Vihar are laid out in a grid, so it’s easy to find us once you’re in the gate. We handle our daily tasks from the back room where it’s a bit quieter. It’s mostly just managing records and talking to people who live nearby. Working in a place like Korba means you get used to the industrial feel of the town. We have a lot of paperwork that piles up on the dining table if we aren't careful. It’s not a polished environment. There’s a lot of tea drinking and talking about the news while we work. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us making sure things don't fall through the cracks. We’ve been here for a while, and we like the rhythm of the township. People stop by without calling first, and that’s fine. We just put the files aside and talk. It’s a very informal way to run things, but it works for us. We just keep it moving one day at a time. It’s just how things go when you live and work in the same spot.
