Vedanta Plc

We’re over at 809/B/3 in the Balco area of Korba. It’s another one of those spots in Chhattisgarh where the work never really stops. We are part of the Vedanta Plc side of things. The office is small and tucked away. It’s got a bit of a lived-in feel because we spend so much time here. There’s no lobby or receptionist to greet you. You just knock on the door and one of us will let you in. We deal with a lot of administrative stuff for the company. It’s not the most exciting work, but it’s important to keep things running. We have a few old computers that take a while to boot up in the morning. While they start, we usually talk about the local news or what’s happening at the plant. Korba is a tough place but the people are good. We don't have any polished brochures to give out. If you want to know what we do, we just tell you directly. We keep our records in metal cabinets that have been here since the start. It’s a bit cramped when we have all our files out on the desks, but we manage. We aren't trying to be the biggest or the flashiest group. We just want to do our bit and go home to our families at the end of the day. It’s a regular life in a regular town and that’s fine by us.
