This place is right inside the Arasmeta Cement Plant area. Specifically, we are at Qr.No:-Rme-131 in the Mahanadi Complex. It is part of the staff colony in Gopalnagar. Living and working in a plant colony is different from being in a city. Everything is right here. You walk out of the house and you are basically at work in a few minutes. The complex is quite large and there are many of us staying here. It gets a bit dusty because of the plant nearby, but that is just how it is in this line of work. We spend our days managing the plant's needs and keeping the records straight. There are a lot of trees around the colony, which helps a bit with the midday heat. In the evenings, you see everyone out for a walk or the kids playing in the open areas. It is a tight community. Our office space is just one of the quarters converted for work use. It is practical and has everything we need to do our jobs. We don't have clients coming in all the time, mostly just other staff members or workers. The road to Janjgir-Champa is a bit long if you need to go into town for something big. Mostly, we just stick to the routine here. It is a quiet life punctuated by the sound of the machinery in the distance. We focus on what needs doing for the day and stay busy.
