We’re set up over in Danapur, on the Khagaul Road at a place called Balajee, number 514. Patna is a busy place, and this area is no different with the bikes and rickshaws going by. We work in infrastructure, which basically means we are involved in building the big things like roads or bridges that people use every day. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and managing huge teams of people on site. This office is where we handle the local coordination for our projects across Bihar. It’s often quite noisy with the traffic outside and the constant coming and going of engineers and site supervisors. There are always rolls of blueprints lying on the tables and safety helmets hanging by the door. We don't have any fancy art on the walls, just maps of where the projects are happening and some schedules pinned up. It’s hard work, especially when the monsoon hits and everything turns to mud and the machines get stuck. We spend a lot of time worrying about timelines and material costs. It’s not a glamorous job, but you feel like you’re doing something real when you see a new structure finally going up. We have our regulars who drop in for meetings, and there’s always a bit of chaos with the paperwork. We try to keep things organized, but in construction, something always changes. We just deal with it as it comes. It’s a local hub for us, keeping the machinery and the men moving.
