Emeralde Hair And Beauty Care is a small place in Flat B 4 on Dargah Road. We are directly opposite Chobe Hospital in Aurangabad. It’s a bit different because we are in a flat, so it feels more private than a shop on the main street. Mostly women from the nearby apartments come here. We do hair and some beauty work like threading or basic facials. The room is painted a light color and we have a few chairs set up. You can hear the hospital sounds and the traffic from Dargah Road if the window is open. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us working. We know most of the ladies by name. They come in and talk about their families while we work on their hair. It’s a quiet life here. We keep our supplies in plastic bins and everything is kept as tidy as possible. Sometimes we run out of tea and have to send someone across the street. We don’t do big promotions. If someone likes their haircut, they tell their neighbor, and that’s how we get more people. It’s a simple business. We focus on the work and making sure the person in the chair is satisfied. The mirrors are clean and the scissors are sharp. That’s all you really need. We’ve been running this out of the flat for a while now and it works for us.
