Our place is out at Gut No 217 in Chitegaon village. If you’re driving down Paithan Road, we’re right near the Chitegaon Toll Naka. It’s a bit of a drive from the main city of Aurangabad, but it’s a good spot for a factory. Omr Bagla Automotive Systems India Ltd. is what’s written on the sign outside. We do a lot of automotive system work here. The building is quite large because we need the space for the machines. It’s a busy environment with trucks coming in and out all the time through the toll area. The air around here is a bit dusty because of all the construction and traffic on the road. Inside, it’s mostly metal and plastic parts being moved around. We have shifts running because there is always a lot to do. The workers come from the nearby villages mostly. We have a small canteen where everyone eats lunch. It’s not a corporate office with carpets; it’s a working plant with concrete floors. We deal with a lot of technical drawings and specs, making sure everything fits right. It can get pretty loud when all the machines are running at once. We’ve been here in Maharashtra for a while and have seen the area change a bit. We just keep our heads down and do the work that comes in. There is no big secret to how we run things. We just follow the schedule and try to stay on top of the orders. It’s a lot of regular factory work.
