Bombay Hair Cutting Salon

I open the shop early on Vip Road here in Aurangabad. It’s usually quiet until the buses start moving toward Ghati. Bombay Hair Cutting Salon has been in this spot for a good while now. The chairs aren't new, but they work fine for everyone. Most days, I’m just standing there with my scissors and a comb. It gets a bit dusty outside because of the traffic on the road, so I have to wipe the mirrors quite a bit throughout the day. People from around the Maharashtra area stop by when they’re passing through the Ho district. I don't really have a big staff, just me and another guy sometimes. We keep things pretty simple. There’s no fancy music, just a small radio playing in the corner usually. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just wait it out with the customers. They don't mind much because they are local anyway. I’ve seen kids grow up coming here. They used to need a board across the chair arms to sit high enough, and now they are taller than me. It’s just how it goes at a place like this.
