Alankar Gents Parlour

If you go to the Satsang Housing Society in Satara Aurangabad you will find us at Shop No.1. This is Alankar Gents Parlour. We are in Gut No 17 which is a bit of a specific spot to find. Aurangabad is a big place but this neighborhood feels smaller. The shop is simple and we have been here for a while now. Most of the men from the housing society come here. It is easy for them since they live right there. I spend most of my day in the shop. The chairs are old but they are still good to use. I try to keep things tidy but sometimes hair gets everywhere when it is busy. We have a regular routine every morning. I open the shutters and get the water ready. There is no big sign or anything just the name on the front. People in Satara know us by now. It is a bit far from the main city center but that is fine. We don't need all that noise. The light inside is a bit yellow but it helps me see what I am doing. Sometimes we talk about cricket or the local politics. It is a place where you can just sit and wait your turn. No one is in a huge rush usually. We just do the work and keep the shop going. It is a quiet life in Shop No.1 and I like it that way.
