Usha Bundela, Khajuraho

We are located on Temple Road, which is pretty much where everything happens in Khajuraho. It’s a small town, so everyone knows where everything is. We built Usha Bundela a while back to give people a place to stay while they go look at the old temples. It’s not a complicated setup. We have some rooms, a bit of space to walk around, and we are close enough to the main sites that you don't have to go far. The town is slow-paced, and we try to keep that same feeling here. You won't find any high-tech gadgets or super modern designs. It’s just a solid building that keeps the heat out. We get travelers from all over the world, but the way we run things is still very local. We know the guys who drive the autos and the people who work at the temples. If you need something, you just ask. We don't have a big corporate manual on how to talk to guests. We just talk like normal people. It can get really hot in the summer, so we spend a lot of time making sure things stay cool inside for everyone. It’s a simple business on a famous road, and we’re just here to make sure people have a decent place to rest. We like it when things are calm and the days just move along.
