You will find Shagun Amar Engineering Works over on Jail Road in Khurai Taluka. We are pretty easy to spot because we are near the Central Bank of India. It’s a good landmark for people who aren't familiar with the area. The workshop itself is a practical space where we handle all sorts of engineering and metalwork. It’s not the cleanest place in the world because we are always cutting, welding, or grinding something. There’s a constant smell of iron and oil in the air. We have a few heavy machines that take up most of the floor space, so you have to watch your step when you walk in. Most of our days are spent at the workbench or moving heavy parts around. It’s physical work and it can be tiring, especially when we have a lot of orders to get through. The street outside is usually busy with people going to the bank or heading further into Khurai. We don’t have a big team, just a few of us who know the machines well. We don't bother with fancy uniforms or a front desk. If you need to talk to us, you just walk in and find someone who isn't currently using a loud machine. Being on Jail Road, we see a lot of people passing by on their way to the courthouse or the market. The Central Bank is always a hive of activity, which keeps our end of the street lively. We sometimes have to shout to be heard over the noise of the lathe machines, but we don't think twice about it.
