Orchha Palace And Convention Centre

Orchha Palace and Convention Centre is tucked away in Sawant Nagar. We are really close to the Ramraja Temple, which is the main thing people come to see around here. The area has that old feeling, very quiet compared to the big cities. We have a lot of space for weddings and meetings, but most days it’s just the staff keeping the floors clean and checking the rooms. The gardens need a lot of water because the sun is quite strong here. You can hear the temple bells sometimes if the wind is blowing the right way. We’ve seen many families come through for events over the years. It’s a big building, and sometimes keeping up with the maintenance feels like a full-time job for ten people. We have local guys working the front desk and in the kitchen. The food is just basic local stuff that people like. It’s not some high-end corporate hotel; it’s more of a local landmark for the people in Orchha. Guests usually walk down to the river or the temple from here. In the evenings, the lights on the palace look nice, but we are usually busy resetting chairs for the next day. It’s a lot of manual work, moving tables and making sure the AC is working. We stay busy during the wedding season, but otherwise, it’s a peaceful place to be.
