About Kisan Sewa Kendra – Agriculture & Farming in Chhatarpur
If you find yourself on the Kusma Dikpura Road in Maharajpur, you’ll likely see our sign near the Dileep Chaurasia landmark. This spot has been our base for quite some time now. It's a humble building, nothing fancy to look at from the outside. Most of our day is spent helping folks who come in from the surrounding villages. They usually have a lot on their minds regarding their crops or the upcoming weather. We keep a few benches out front for people to sit and rest while they wait for their turn. The interior is packed with supplies and different items that farmers need. It smells like fertilizer and dry soil in here, which is a scent we’ve grown to like over the years. My desk is usually covered in receipts and half-empty tea cups by the afternoon. The ceiling fan wobbles a bit, but it does the job during the hot months. Maharajpur is a quiet place mostly, but this road gets its fair share of tractor traffic and dust. We know most of the people who walk through the door by their first names. It’s the kind of place where you can just stop by to talk about the harvest or the rain. We don’t have a website or anything like that, just this physical shop where we show up every morning. Sometimes the dogs from the street come in to nap in the shade when it gets too hot outside.
