Kumkum Hardware

Our shop is out here in Village Budrakh, right in Ward No. 2. If you're coming from the Post Office in Maharajpur, it's not a long trip at all. We are situated quite close to the Government Middle School, so we see the kids and teachers passing by every day. It’s a local place. We stock the things people around here actually need for their homes and repairs. The building isn't brand new, but it holds everything we need. Most of the time, it's just neighbors coming in for a few nails or a tool they lost. We know most of the folks in the Tehsil because they’ve been coming here for years. It gets a bit dusty with all the hardware, but that’s just how it is. We open up early and stay until the sun starts to go down. Sometimes we sit outside when it’s quiet. We don't do much advertising, word of mouth works well enough in a place like Nowgong. If someone needs something specific, we try to find it in the back. It’s a simple life running a hardware store in the village. You get to hear all the local news while you're counting out change. The school being nearby keeps the street lively. We’ve been part of this community for a long time now. It’s just us, the tools, and the people who live nearby. It’s basic, but it works for what people need.
