Our place, Christian Hospital Chhatarpur, sits right on Mahoba Road. If you know Chhatarpur, you know that Mahoba Road is usually buzzing with activity. People traveling along Mahoba Road often stop in because we are so easy to find. We have been here for a long time, watching the town change and grow around us. The hospital itself is a bit of an old landmark in this area. It doesn't look like those new corporate hospitals you see in the big cities. It has a more lived-in feel, with wide porches and rooms that have seen thousands of people over the years. The staff here are very practical people. They don't use big medical words when they can just explain things simply. We get a lot of people coming in from the rural areas surrounding Chhatarpur, so there is always a mix of languages and dialects heard in the corridors. It can be a bit chaotic on Mondays or after a holiday, but we manage to get through it. We aren't looking to win any awards for our decor or our lobby. We just want to make sure that when someone from the Mahoba Road area needs to see a doctor, we are here and ready to help.
