Nalike Rohini

My name is Rohini and I run this small place at H. No. 3-76 in Chinchanpet village. It is mostly just a local spot where people from the village can get what they need without going all the way to Nawabpet. I started this in my own house because there wasn't much else to do and I wanted to help my family. We have a few shelves with basic things like soap and matches and some snacks for the kids. The house is old but it stays cool even when it is very hot outside. I sit on a stool by the door and watch the cows go by in the morning. Sometimes my neighbors come over just to sit and talk about the weather or the local news. We don't have a big sign outside because everyone already knows where we are. It’s a very quiet life here in R. R. Dist. The road gets a bit dusty when the tractors pass but we just sweep it up. I handle everything myself usually but sometimes my kids help if they are not at school. We don't have fixed hours really if I am home and someone knocks I will open the door. It’s just a way to keep busy and earn a little bit. We don't do anything fancy or use any big computers. Just a notebook to write things down and a small box for the cash.
