Our place is out in Cherlapally Village at Ida Plot No. 79. It’s part of the Gatkesar Mandal area. Being in an industrial plot means there is always truck traffic and noise from the other units nearby. We deal with agricultural products mostly. The yard is usually dusty and there’s always something being loaded or unloaded. It’s a big space but we use every bit of it for storage and processing. The office is just a small section at the front with a few desks and a lot of files. We spend a lot of time on the phone or out in the back checking on things. It’s not the kind of place where people just wander in. You have to come out here specifically to find us. The sun gets really hot on the metal roofs during the afternoon. We usually take our breaks together under the shade of the trees near the gate. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy all year round because farming doesn't really stop. We have a small crew and we all know what needs to be done. There isn't any corporate talk here, just people making sure the orders get out to the farmers who need them. The road out here could be better but we manage. We just keep our tools ready and the gates open for the morning shift.
