Our office is right here at Ganga Illam, number 21E. Arunagirinathar Street is a pretty calm spot in Chennimalai compared to the main market area. It’s actually a house that we use for the business, which makes it feel a lot more relaxed than those big glass buildings in the city. We’ve been operating out of this district for years now. People around here know C.Ponnusamy and how we handle things. Usually, the day starts with a few phone calls and some paperwork over coffee. It gets quite bright in the front room during the afternoons. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who know the ropes. Most of our neighbors are families, so we try not to make too much noise or cause a fuss. Chennimalai is a small enough place where word travels fast, so we just try to do right by the people who come to us. The commute isn't bad at all since everything is so close by. Sometimes we sit out on the porch when things get slow to watch the street traffic. It’s mostly bikes and the occasional tractor passing by. We keep the files organized as best as we can, though the stacks do get a bit high by the end of the month. It's a steady life and we like being part of the community here on this street. We just take things one day at a time and do the work.
