Zebra Universe

Our shop, Zebra Universe, is sitting at No 58/30 in the Mannady area of Parrys. It is a busy part of Chennai where you can find almost anything if you look hard enough. We have been here for a bit, and the name usually makes people stop and look twice. We aren't a massive store, just a regular space filled with various items that people might need. The streets around here are very narrow and the sunlight doesn't always reach the bottom, so it stays a bit cooler than the main roads. We spend our days arranging the stock and talking to the people who wander in. Some are just looking, others know exactly what they want. It is a bit of a squeeze inside because we try to keep a lot of things on hand. Mannady is a place where everyone knows everyone’s business, so we have a lot of chatty neighbors. We don't have a big marketing plan or anything like that; we just open the shutters in the morning and see who comes by. The building is old and has its quirks, like a door that sticks in the rain, but it is home for us. We just want to keep the shop going and provide what we can to the folks in Parrys.
