Working in heat treatment means we spend our days around furnaces and cooling systems, so the air inside the shop is always quite warm. It’s not a place for someone who wants a clean, air-conditioned office. We are an industrial shop in a busy estate, and we’ve been here for many years. We don't have any fancy brochures or a team of people to handle sales. We just have our equipment and our experience in the trade. Our clothes are usually a bit stained and we wear heavy boots for safety. It’s a straightforward environment where we focus on the work and not on how things look to outsiders. We know most of the other businesses in the Sidco Estate and we often see the same faces every day. There’s no corporate talk about big missions here. We just take the items people bring us, put them through the process, and get them ready for pickup. It can be a bit chaotic when several big orders come in at once, but we just work through it.
