World Wide Exports

This office is on the second floor over on Subadral Street. It's right across from the Sivan Koil, so we hear the temple bells every day. Triplicane is a crowded place, especially in the evenings when everyone is out on the streets. Being at 3/2 has its challenges, like carrying heavy files up the stairs because there’s no lift in this building. We do all our export work from here. The windows look out onto the street and it’s always interesting to see what’s happening below. We’ve got a couple of old fans that make a lot of noise but they keep the air moving on hot days. It’s mostly just us handling the documents and talking to the port people on the phone. The space is a bit tight with all the filing cabinets we’ve accumulated over the years. We share the building with a few other families and small shops. Sometimes we get lunch from the mess nearby. It’s a very local vibe. World Wide Exports has been in this spot for a long time. We know the postman well since he comes by every morning. We don’t have a big sign outside, just a small one by the door. It’s a practical place for what we do. Not much to look at, but it’s where the work happens. We like the rhythm of this neighborhood and the people around us who always stop to say hello.
