You will find our shop at No 18, right in that small entrance lane just after Hotel Ranjith. Nungambakkam High Road is almost always jammed with cars and bikes, so we are tucked away just enough to be a bit quieter. We sell all kinds of materials for building houses. This includes tiles, some hardware, and other stuff people need when they are fixing up their homes. The shop isn't a massive space but we manage to fit a lot of inventory in there. We talk to local contractors and regular homeowners throughout the day. Sometimes people just wander in because they are looking for one specific part they couldn't find anywhere else. We have been in this busy spot for a long time now. The noise from the street is something you just get used to. We spend a lot of time checking what is in stock and talking to our various suppliers. It isn't a fancy showroom with bright lights. It is more of a practical place where you come to get what you need and then head out. The staff here has been around and knows exactly where everything is hidden in the back room. Chennai is often very humid, so we keep the fans running on high all day long. We see many of the same faces from around the neighborhood. We just try to have the items people are looking for. Delivering things in this part of Nungambakkam is a real challenge because the lanes are so narrow, but we make it work.
