Our current office is a temporary one located at No.10 on 4th Street in Manohar Nagar. If you know the Pallikaranai area in Chennai, you know it’s been changing quite a lot lately with all the new shops and houses coming up. We deal with different brands and trends, which basically means we spend our time looking at what people are buying and what’s popular right now. It is a bit of a messy job sometimes because things change so fast in the market. The building we are in is simple. It gets a little hot during the afternoons, but the fans keep us going. We moved here recently, and we are still getting used to the neighbors. It’s not a permanent setup, so things are a little bit disorganized with boxes here and there. We spend a lot of time on the computer checking out new products or talking to suppliers. Tamil Nadu has a lot of business moving through it, and being in Chennai helps us stay close to where things are happening. We aren't a huge team, just a few people who know how to track what’s selling. We don't really do big meetings; we mostly just chat across the desks and get through the daily list of things to do. It’s a lot of tracking numbers and seeing what the next big thing might be for the shops we work with.
