Western Thomson (India) Ltd. can be found at GA & GB, Riviera Park, which is No. 11 on the 4th Main Road Extension in Kotturpuram. Our office is in a relatively quiet part of the neighborhood compared to the busy main roads. We have two units that we use for our daily operations. Inside, it’s mostly just rows of desks and a lot of cabinets filled with technical documents. Not much foot traffic comes in, so it stays fairly peaceful during the day. Sometimes we can hear the birds in the trees outside, which is a nice change of pace. The building is decent, though the elevators are a bit slow and we often just take the stairs. Most of us have been working here for years, so it has started to feel like a second home. A small area with a kettle and some biscuits is where we head in the afternoon. No big corporate mission statements are on the walls. We just have calendars and a few photos. The work involves a lot of coordination and checking over details on the computer. It’s a quiet, steady kind of job. When the monsoon comes, the street outside sometimes floods a little, but we always manage to get in. We just keep to ourselves and make sure our work is done properly.
